Designing from the frontier(s)
Prior to joining Products of Design MFA at the School of Visual Arts, I served in 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment as a fireteam leader and deployed four times to Afghanistan. Throughout this time, I was an avid mountaineer and summited Mt. Denali, Mt. Rainier, and Grand Teton.
I then attended Columbia University, where I earned a bachelors of arts in political science and worked as a research assistant in the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace studies studying coalition building in the Global War on Terror. Additionally, I have been heavily involved with Warrior-Scholar Project—an innovative veteran service organization that bridges the gap from military service to higher education.
